OBEDIENT MATCHBOX
Any magician, and particularly those just starting out should have a range of tricks which can be performed with everyday household items. This is one such trick, proving that you don’t need to spend a fortune to entertain your family and friends.


STEP 1
Hold your hand palm down with your fingers stretched out and place the matchbox face down on the back of your hand with the drawer slightly open as in Fig. 1.




STEP 2
Now without anyone seeing close the drawer of the box, at the same time pinching a small fold of skin.



STEP 3
Close your hand at the same commanding the box to stand. To the amazement of your audience the matchbox will rise up as in Fig. 2.
